UEFA Europa League: MŠK Žilina - Hajduk Split 16.07.2026.

Hajduk Split received strong support during their UEFA Europa League away match against MŠK Žilina on 16 July 2026. A large number of Torcida members marched through the city under heavy police escort before filling the away section at the Pod Dubňom Stadium and providing loud support throughout the match.

The return to Žilina carried additional significance because of the events of 2009, when serious clashes broke out between Croatian supporters and Slovak police before the match. A large number of Torcida members were detained, while the violence and police intervention remain among the most difficult episodes in the group’s recent European away history. This time, the city was again placed under increased police security, although the main focus remained on the supporters’ march and the atmosphere inside the stadium.

Also worth mentioning was the Torcida Zagreb banner displayed in the away section. In March this year, the leader of the Zagreb branch was reportedly attacked by members of the Bad Blue Boys, who took his phone. Information later circulated within the supporter scene alleging that its contents showed he had informed on members of both Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split, spoken negatively about members of his own group and maintained friendly contacts with Grobari of Partizan Belgrade.

According to reports from within the fan scene, Torcida Split then carried out its own investigation. The Zagreb branch leader was allegedly assaulted again, while his Hajduk tattoos were burned, before Torcida Split decided to dissolve Torcida Zagreb entirely. The appearance of the former Torcida Zagreb banner in Žilina therefore attracted particular attention and raised questions about its current status within Hajduk’s supporter scene.
